Carlson Software Network License Installation Guide (For Server Move or License Changes)
This information applies to current Carlson network users running 2020 or later versions who are either moving the license to a new server or updating their existing license by adding an additional occurrence or module.
New server or License Change:
You will require new license files if:

Moving the license manager to a new server, or
-
Increasing your module count
You will need to submit a new license request from the new or replacement server.
Each license file is generated specifically for the computer from which the license request is submitted.
When replacing your Carlson LMTools folder, please keep in mind that we previously recommended saving your network license files in the LMTools folder for safekeeping.
If your existing LMTools folder contains a text file with a date as part of its name, that file is your network license. You will need to copy that file into the new LMTools folder.
If you are running a Carlson product (2020 or later), you must update to the latest SentinelRMS 9.8.0 version of the license management software.You will also need to download CarlsonLMTools 9.5.0221.zip. While this toolset has not been updated, it will continue to work with newer versions of the license management software.

If your server is already running this version of the license manager and you have these tools installed, no further server-side action is required.
Workstation Installation
The workstation installation procedure for a network copy of Carlson software is the same as for a regular (non-network) installation.
You can download the Carlson program from the Carlson download page (using your provided license key)and install it on each workstation.
Instructions for a silent install are outlined in Knowledge Base Article #763.
